Mais ce qui intéresse le plus les investisseurs c'est le cas du tigre.

La première question de l'Assemblée venait d'un analyste de Barclays,Bob Drbul.....

Drbul asked about Nike’s position on Tiger Woods as that is what he said was a key inquiry from many. Nike’s response was that it is standing by Tiger Woods.
Management said that Nike has a $650 million golf business, and that area has been the hardest hit during the recession and in the spending climate compared to most sports.

The company is comfortable with its position and feels good about managing its position in the golf market.
The representative from Nike further noted that Tiger has chosen to step away from the game and that Nike will respect his choice and given him space. Nike will continue support Tiger Woods and his family and looks forward to his return.

The European crisis may be just beginning. Greece been flagged by credit agencies for being at risk for defaulting on their sovereign debt. As the AP wrote, Ireland and Greece both are running double-digit deficits and struggling with a basic duty of euro membership — to keep budget deficits within limits.
The Greek Prime Minister promised that his nation would balance its budget.lol The nation’s deficit is 13% of GDP. Greece’s debt is estimated at 300 billion euros according to The New York Times. That is more than 110% of gross domestic product. Prime Minister George Papandreou said he would cut the nation’s budget by 10% and strive to get his nation’s budget deficit to below 3% of GDP by 2013. These are the promises of a politician who, no matter how well intentioned, has to deal with the legislative branch of his government and the realities of a national economy that is still effectively in a recession. A major purpose of announcing good intentions is that the premier hopes that the capital markets will look more favorably on his nation’s bonds. The appeal is based on his request for investors to trust him, and really nothing more.
Greece’s single largest problem is that it does not have a neighbor like Abu Dhabi that is so wealthy from its oil production that it has access to $10 billion to give aid to another nation.

NIKE + TIGER + EARNINGS = ?

Nike Inc. (NYSE: NKE) is on deck with earnings Thursday as well. At $63.86, the stock is close to a 52-week high as the range has been $38.24 to $66.35. Thomson Reuters has estimates of $0.71 EPS and $4.39 billion in revenues, and we may get to hear about what the company will do as far as backing Tiger Woods now that Woods is out of golf until he mends his personal life issues. With so much of Nike sales now outside the U.S., we’ll get to see what a weak dollar before the latest pile into the US Dollar did for the company. Don’t hold your breath on this happening, but maybe the company will change some slogans to “Just Did It!” or “Just Tap It!”…

PayPal’s Cyber Monday results of approximately 20 percent year-over-year growth were preceded by higher TPV throughout the Thanksgiving weekend. On Thanksgiving Day 2009, TPV increased by 25 percent year-over-year compared to Thanksgiving Day 2008. Black Friday 2009 TPV also increased by approximately 20 percent from the year before. Mobile payments through PayPal also jumped 140 percent on Black Friday and 190 percent on Cyber Monday compared to that of an average Friday and Monday respectively. This supports an ongoing trend in shopping on mobile devices.
“The higher PayPal volumes show that consumers are taking advantage of the convenience of online shopping and the great deals offered on eBay and on the thousands of PayPal merchant sites across the Web,” said Amanda Pires, senior director at PayPal.

Pour l'instant ils n'ont pas de revenues mais ils viennent de décrocher un patent de 20 ans aux USA. Le globe and mail comparent la nouvelle technology au passage de la cassette aux dvd...

Google's share in the Chinese search market has dipped to 19.8%, while Baidu Inc (NASDAQ: BIDU) controls 69.9% of its home market, says China IntelliConsulting Corp (CIC) based on a survey of 4,990 subjects across 20 major cities.

It is the first time a consultancy reports Google's share fell below 20% in China.

In the four richest mainland cities, including Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Baidu captured an average 64.5% share compared to Google's 25.4%.
